Rea or Rhea is a new Slovak selection of currants. Protected by a patent. The bushes of the variety are very lush, the leaves are large, similar in shape to the leaves of the Chaush pink variety, the type of flowers is bisexual. Ripens in early September. The bunches weighing 500–600 g on powerful formations are much larger, conical, sometimes with wings, of medium density. The berries are pink, ovoid, very large for a seedless variety, weighing 5-7 g. The pulp is juicy, the skin is thin, easy to eat. The berries are not strongly cracked, with prolonged rain, individual berries may crack. The third seedless class. The taste is simple. The vine ripens well, cuttings root easily, seedlings are powerful.
